There is an old myth about the Civil War hero "Stonewall" Jackson. According to this popular, widespread and persistent tale he is said to have eaten 50 lemons just before the battle of Gettysburg and became so ill from eating them that he was unable to lead his troops into battle and henceforth was "invalidid" throughout that fight.
The following .WAV audio file is of a man who has spent many years researching Thomas Jackson and the Shanendoa Valley.
